Hugo and the Head Full of Hair

Earlier this month, I had baby Hugo in for another baby photography session in my Austin studio. This was the second installation of his “Grow With Me” package. The “Grow With Me” package is a year-long photography package, ending with a one-year birthday cake smash session. So far, I’ve captured a newborn session and now a ‘tummy time’ session.

When I first met baby Hugo at his newborn session with his big sister, Matilda, I was totally in awe of his thick and luxurious black hair. During the newborn session, it was so sweet to watch his big sister interact with him. It’s so clear that she loves her little brother. I love being able to capture the relationships between siblings as they both grow! 

Fast forward to our second photography session, the ‘tummy time’ session! At four months old, Hugo’s hair is even more impressive! It’s amazing to see how much he has grown in the first four months of his life. Already, you can see a mischievous gleam in his eyes and an impish grin. Big sister, Matilda has also grown! I love how much she loves being a big sister. Her smile is precious!

So many milestones happen in those first four months of growth. He’s gone from mostly sleeping to confidently controlling his head during tummy time.  Look at how strong and self-confident he already is! Hugo looks like he’s ready to go. That’s why the “Grow With Me” milestone sessions are so much fun to capture. As this little guy (and his amazing hair) continues to grow, I’ll be able to document these milestones for years to come. 

The next studio session with Hugo will be a 'sitter' session when he is 6-9 months old. We’ll get this next studio photography session once he’s sitting confidently. Babies hit milestones at different times, so it’s not an exact month. Far better to schedule it when Hugo is ready. But when he is, I can't wait to have him back in my studio to see how much he has grown.
