Swaddled Setups
We started with a few simple, swaddled looks. These are always a favorite because babies tend to settle easily, and it allows for clean, polished portraits right from the beginning.
Prop Setup: Bed
After swaddling, we moved into a simple bed setup. This is always a favorite because it keeps that soft, cozy feel while adding just a little more dimension to the images. The all white set-up with lots of textures really made the baby the focus.
Prop Setup: Rustic Moon
For something a little more unique, we used a rustic moon prop and dusty purple florals and greenery. This setup adds a bit of personality while still keeping the overall look soft and timeless. The organic textures and monochromatic fabrics create a different feel without taking attention away from the baby.
Simple Beanbag Poses
To finish, we moved into classic beanbag poses. These are the most simple and baby-focused images, highlighting all the tiny details - soft skin, curled poses, and those sleepy expressions. With minimal distractions, these portraits tend to be some of the most loved from the session.
Detail Collage
I also love including a collage to capture all the little details in one place - tiny lashes, fingers, and lips that change so quickly in those first few weeks.
